How do I enable remote access for 12d Synergy Clients

Remote access for 12d Synergy Clients can be setup simply by forwarding the required ports from your outside modem to your sever.

12d Synergy operates over TCP/IP with SSL/TLS.

This will require forwarding all relevant ports:

• Port: 1212 - Metadata
• Port 1250 - File Transfer

Depending on your organisations configuration this could mean multiple firewalls have to have rules setup for allowing the port through, including firewalls on the server itself.

The users will then have to connect to your office via the ISP supplied IP Address for your modem, or if a DNS name has been setup on a DNS provider (not the internal DNS of the company) they can use that.
