This feature is available in 12d Synergy version 5.1.7.413 and later. Please check with your Account Manager for more details.

Microsoft 365 Integration enables 12d Synergy users and their clients to collaboratively work on Microsoft files that are stored in 12d Synergy. How you configure this feature will depend on whether your 12d Synergy users exist in one single Microsoft 365 / Entra ID tenancy or multiple tenancies. This has no impact on who you can invite to collaborate on documents.

  • Single tenant setup - where your 12d Synergy users exist in only one Entra ID tenant

  • Multiple tenant setup - where your 12d Synergy users exist in multiple Entra IDs (for example, a joint venture)

Let us see how to configure both these setups.

After the tenancy is set up, you will get the Microsoft 365 Client ID and Tenant ID. You will need these details in the procedure mentioned below.

  • For Microsoft 365 Integration to function, you must have a valid SSL Certificate.

  • Please note that for this feature to function, your 12d Synergy Server must be able to communicate directly with Microsoft Services. This includes MS Graph, OneDrive and SharePoint.

1.1 How to Enable this Feature in 12d Synergy

  1. In the 12d Synergy Administration application, select the System Settings > General tab.

  2. Search the settings with the keywords "Microsoft 365" in the Filter box.

  3. Select the value for the Allow collaborative editing with Microsoft 365 setting as Yes.

  4. In the Microsoft 365 Client ID box and Microsoft 365 Tenant ID boxes, enter the Microsoft 365 Client ID and Tenant ID that you came across while setting up single or multi tenancy.

  5. Click the Save button.
You are now set up for working collaboratively on Microsoft 365 files stored in 12d Synergy.
