# Verifying the Installation

### 1.1. How to Verify if the Installation is Successful

1. Go to**Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services**in Microsoft Windows.

2. Find the service named **12d Synergy Server**.
3. If the Status column against **12d Synergy Server**service says **Running**, then the installation is successful.

#### 1.1.1. What to do if the 12d Synergy Server Service is not Running?

1. In the Services window, double-click the **12d Synergy Server**service.
2. Select the **Log on** tab.

3. Re-enter the password for the Service Account and click **OK.****If this is not a service account, it will now be given the Service Account attribute by Windows.**
4. Right-click **12d Synergy Server**service and select the **Start** option.  
The service will start and the Status of the service is changed to **Running**.  
If the service has still not started, please check the **Windows Event Viewer** for more details.
