Article summary

The follow basic layer configuration settings apply to all the layer type settings. For more information on overall map information and settings, see the ‘Getting Started with Mapping’ guide.

Layer Order

By changing the order of the map layers in the ‘Active System Layers’ section you can determine the order in which the layers are displayed logically on the map. If a layer is at the top of the list, it will take precedence over any other layer in the list and display on the top.

To change the order:

  1. Navigate to the Mapping section in 12d Synergy Administrator and under the Map Configuration tab click the Move Up or Move Down buttons to adjust the order of your layers. Click Save to confirm your changes
  2. To check your changes, navigate to the Mapping section of 12d Synergy Administrator under the Default Map View tab. For any troubleshooting, refer to the ‘Troubleshooting’ section of this document

Enabling or Disabling a Layer

  1. Navigate to the Mapping section in 12d Synergy Administrator and under the Map Configuration tab select the layer you wish to enable or disable from the list. Once you’ve selected the layer, click the (Edit) button down the bottom
  2. In the ‘Configure Map Layer’ window you will see an Active tick box option. Leaving this box unticked will disable the layer and ticking it will enable it
  3. Click Set then click Save to remember your changes

Deleting a Layer

  1. Navigate to the Mapping section in 12d Synergy Administrator and under the Map Configuration tab select the layer you wish to delete. Once selected, click the – (Minus) button down the bottom
  2. A message will appear asking you to confirm if you wish to delete the layer, click ‘Yes’
  3. Click Save to confirm your changes

Areas Map Layers can be added

There are several levels at which map layers can be added in 12d Synergy with the system level being the highest. These levels are:

  • System Level (Configured in 12d Synergy Administrator
  • Job Template Level (Configured in 12d Synergy Administrator)
  • Job Level (Configured in 12d Synergy Client)
  • User Level (Configured in 12d Synergy Client)

The ‘Getting Started with Mapping’ guide goes into more detail about the different areas of 12d Synergy where maps can be configured.
