# Overview

This document details how to add and configure map layers in 12d Synergy. Mapping in 12d Synergy is constantly being developed and more capabilities and features will exist in future versions. Therefore, the methods of adding and configuring map layers may differ from those in this document. For more general information on mapping in 12d Synergy, refer to the ‘Getting Started with Mapping’ guide.
