It is important to regularly maintain any system you use to ensure it is running in its optimal state. In the case of a managed solution, you might expect this always. Why else would you seek external management of a system or service?

As a cloud customer of 12d Synergy, we take the burden of managing application infrastructure, SQL infrastructure, and Windows Servers away from you, so that you can focus on more important things within your business. To ensure this, we perform our maintenance tasks which will last for a short duration, during which you cannot use our product.

These tasks are mainly centered around the following:

  • Ensuring Windows Updates are applied to the servers

    • NB: Critical Security Hot Fixes as identified by Microsoft may fall outside of this scope

  • 12d Synergy Server application upgrade (if applicable)

From July 2025, we will implement a monthly schedule. Application updates will only occur every quarter when relevant updates are available, as outlined in the table below as ‘Application + Security’ updates. This update will require an outage between 5 am to 5 pm (12 Hours).

In the months between application updates, we will also perform ‘Security Only’ updates which will require a small time window between 5 am to 8 am (3 Hours).

During this period, your instance of 12d Synergy will be unavailable as we perform the required maintenance. Once completed, you will receive a notification that your instance is available. The downtime will be approximately 1 to 2 hours during this time window.

Due to the increase in frequency, a reminder notification will be sent on Monday and Friday before the scheduled maintenance dates.
