# Performing a Minor Upgrade

### 1.1. Upgrading your 12d Synergy Server Application

- This document refers to the upgrade process for a minor upgrade (say, from 4.3.1 to 4.3.2) rather than a major product upgrade (say, from v4 to v5).
- In the case where you are looking for a major upgrade, please refer to our 12d Synergy V5 [Release Notes](https://help.12dsynergy.com/docs/v5releasenotes) and [Upgrade Notes](https://help.12dsynergy.com/docs/v5upgradenotes).

Doing a minor upgrade to your 12d Synergy Server application is an easy process.

#### 1.1.1. How to Perform a Minor Upgrade

1. Shutdown the**12d Synergy Server Service**.
2. Take a backup of the full system.
3. Uninstall the **12d Synergy Server**application.  

Performing this step will not remove your data.
4. Run the new **Upgrade****installer**.

#### 1.1.2. How to Update the New Version of the Clients for All your Users

1. Open the **12d Synergy Administration**application.
2. Click the **System Settings**tab > **Auto Upgrader** tab. ****
3. Click the **Set Version** button.  
The **Set Version Upgrade Info** window is displayed.
4. Make the necessary changes in the **Change** column of the required products to be updated.
5. Click the **Update** button.  
The mentioned updates are made for all your users.
