# Introduction to 12d Model and 12d Synergy

This document explains how 12d Synergy and 12d Model work together.

### 1.1. ****Basic Concepts****

#### 1.1.1. Versions

12d Synergy requires at least a release version of 12d Model 11. Earlier versions of 12d Model, such as V10, or practice versions, are not supported and will not work.

#### 1.1.2. Check Out/ In

Like normal files in 12d Synergy, 12d Model projects operate under a similar check-in/check-out process. However, the whole 12d Project is checked out for your use.
