How to turn on/off background checker

Click the Windows Start button

Type Environment Variables, and select Edit the Environment Variables for your Account

In the "User Variables" section, check if you already have a variable named "12dSynergyOutlookBGChecker"

If Yes, select it and click "Edit"→ Change the value 0, then go to step 'Restart Outlook'

If No, chick "New"

Enter the following values:

Variable name: 12dSynergyOutlookBGChecker
Variable value: 0

Click OK until all windows are closed

Restart Outlook (Closing then re-opening Outlook)
