# How to Access the Event Viewer

### 1. How to Access the Event Viewer:

1. Click the **Windows Start** button and type **Event Viewer**in the search bar.
2. Select the **Event Viewer** program. The**Event Viewer** window is displayed.

### 2. How to Save Event Logs:

1. In the **Event Viewer** window, expand **Windows Logs**.

The available log file categories are displayed.

2. Right-click the log file whose events you want to save.

4. Enter a name for the event log file in the **File name** box and click the **Save**button. The event log file is saved at the selected location.
