Admin Content

## How to Create an Attribute and Apply it to Facilitate a Workflow Build

We are creating a file-based workflow on a folder.

1. Select a folder in one of the following ways:
  - From the **12d Synergy Client**application, select the folder on which you want to create a workflow.
  - From the **12d Synergy Administration**application, search and select the required job from the **Jobs**tab, click the **Edit**button and select the required folder from the job tree.
2. Right-click the folder and select the **Edit folder**option. The **Edit a folder: <*Folder Name*>**window is displayed.
3. Select the **Attributes**tab **> File Attributes** tab.
4. [Create a file attribute](/v1/docs/v5v6attributes#14-how-to-create-add-an-attribute) of list type. Let's name it ***Design Status***. Add the following options (values) to the ***Design Status***list.
