# Data Captures

| Type of data capture | Description |
| --- | --- |
| **Attribute** | Captures the value of any selected attribute and attaches it to the workflow entity. |
| **Association** | Captures an entity such as a file, task, job, folder, contact, company or any 12d Model project, and attaches it to the workflow entity. |
| **Property** | Captures the properties of an entity in the data type mentioned in the **Data Capture** tab. Most of these property types are self-explanatory in relation to the 12d Synergy system. Definitions of some unfamiliar property types are provided below. - **String**- Single line text input - **Long string**- Multiple lines of text input - **Integer**- Whole numbers - **Real**- Decimal numbers |
